HOLIDAY COOKIES

ALMOND & HAZELNUT BISCOTTI, CARAMELIZED WHITE CHOCOLATE & MISO SHORTBREAD, SPICED GINGERBREAD PEOPLE
Create your own handmade cookie box with simple but very flavourful and unique cookies made from rye, red fife and spelt. We will cover interesting spice mixes and inclusions to make your cookies standout, how to use wholegrain flour in place of white flour, a basic shortbread recipe that can be flavoured multiple ways.
A light vegetarian lunch is included and a glass of wine or beer.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3
“TWIX”BARS & JAM STREUSEL BARS
Join us for an afternoon making delicous bar cookies that will please the most persnickety of cookie connoisseurs. Elevate your cookie bakes by incorporating different grains and toasted grains into your baked goods.
Lunch will be included and you’ll be able to take a home a delicous box of treats.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2024
BABKA & BRIOCHE: SWEET & SAVOURY
Learn how to make a sweet starter and handle a sticky dough. In class, you will use a premade dough to do a babka and some savoury buns and other items and take home a dough we will make in class to bake at home. You will learn how to make a sweet and savoury fillings.
10am-5pm (or earlier!)

HOLIDAY BAKING with RYE: ALMOND-STUFFED SPECULAAS, RUM BUTTER TILES & RYE GINGERBREAD
Lunch will be provided. We will make some of my favourite items- a 100% rye gingerbread, rye gevulde speculaas and some rye gingerbread tiles with a rum butter glaze.
